The Bridge School programme is an intensive intervention programme. We aim to complement the work being done in schools. There is a deﬁnite need and our centre helps to fulﬁl that need. We focus on traditional pen and paper based learning.

Our programmes improve handwriting, help information retention making them great exam practice – all things screen based learning does not provide. We focus on building the foundations in the core subjects of Maths, English and Science by using face to face teaching.

Our tutors will motivate your child to want to learn more and give them the self-conﬁdence to achieve the best results they can.

Bridge School provides KS2,KS3 & KS4 teaching in core subjects of Maths, English and Science.

Our study programme is designed to allow students to consolidate learning which they are under taking at school.

In addition, the programme will aim to develop confidence, motivation, study skills and discipline. Together, this will help to raise levels of school performance.

The qualified tutors will deliver help, coaching, and advice that will compliment and be in line with the National Curriculum in a safe and focused learning environment.

Fee Policy

1. Payments can be made weekly, by term or per annum.
2. Discounts are available for children who attend 2 or more lessons a week, siblings who attend or for block bookings.
3. All fees must be paid, in full, in advance.
4. Fees can be paid by BACS or by bank transfer.

Crash Courses
Bridge School provides intensive 4-day Revision Crash Courses in GCSE Maths, English and Science prior to the May/June exams. The programme is aimed at helping your child with comprehensive revision of the whole syllabus with particular emphasis on exam techniques.

1st Course - Maths Mon 1st April – Thurs 4th April 2024
2nd Course - English Mon 8th April – Thurs 11th April 2024
3rd Course - Science Mon 27th May – Thurs 30th May 2024

11.00am to 3.00pm

FEES
Flat fee of £300 per subject. There is no discount policy on these courses as the courses are extremely competitively priced for the benefit of children.

What are your lesson times?

Our lesson times are:
Monday to Friday 5:30pm – 6.45pm
7:00pm - 8.15pm
Saturday & Sunday 9:00am – 10.15am
10:30am – 11.45am

Each Lesson is 1 hour & 15 minutes.

Do you do home visits?
No.

What ages of children do you teach?
At present, we specialise in teaching KS2, KS3 & KS4 (GCSE) students. The ages we teach are from 7 - 16 year olds.

How much homework will my child receive?
Homework is an important part of the programme. It gives the child the opportunity to consolidate and practise what they have learnt during their lesson. However, the student should never receive homework on topics they have not covered with their tutor or at school.

My child is having trouble with some school homework and assignments. Can the School help with this?
Bridge School does not provide homework help. We aim to help more generally by covering the subject area in more depth.

Do you accept child care vouchers and pupil premium payments?
At present, Bridge School is unable to accept child care vouchers and pupil premium payments.

Is it 1 to 1 tuition?
No, our classes are group sessions.

Applications are invited from experienced qualified tutors in Maths, English and Science to add to our pool of tutors to teach final year GCSE students.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree educated with a good classification, in your chosen subject. PGCE in Secondary Maths, English or Science. SCITT, B.Ed, or other route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
You must have all the current Working with Children checks in place. Your positive attitude & commitment to achieve will be demonstrated by your academic record & career to date.

A flexible and competitive rate per hour will be offered to the successful candidates.
